VOCA Camp BENEFIT CONCERT
3rd annual • Aug 8 • 7:30 PM

An evening of Brazilian CHORO, JAZZ and NEW acoustic music

about the musicians

Tim Connell and Ben Blechman began playing together in 2007, and instantly hit it off.  They both shared interests in improvisation and traditional folk string music and began an effort to write originals, with intention of forming the band that later became Terracoustic.  Finding good musicians with time and motivation to invest in a serious project took some time.  Around the same time Tim began a collaboration with Mike Burdette exploring the Brazilian Choro tradition. They have played actively throughout the region as a duo Rio Con Brio.

Marshall Frimoth is a senior at Westview High School and is formally trained on the violin, but plays the guitar and mandolin.  He will be assisted by Matt Brady on percussion.

about VOCA CAMP

VOCA Camp is a project of The Healing Circle, Inc. VOCA, which means Victory Over Child Abuse, was created over 17 years ago in Clatsop County, Oregon, to meet the special needs of sexually abused kids. It all started when children in counseling groups asked for a camp just for them. Parents, counselors, and many supportive adults helped create the VOCA Camp idea and make it a reality.
